Aufgaben
- Creatively identifying leads for vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
- Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts.
- Developing and conducting prospecting campaigns through digital media, outbound cold calling, email sequences, in-person meetings, and industry events.
- Consistently making direct outreach to business owners and executives, confidently navigating gatekeepers, and initiating compelling conversations.
- Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators, and C-Suite leadership.
- Gathering target company information and qualifying opportunities for potential acquisition.
- Presenting high-potential opportunities to the internal M&A team and supporting progression to NDA or deeper evaluation.
- Traveling to attend tradeshows, prospecting trips, and in-person meetings as needed (up to 20%).
Fähigkeiten
- Fluency in English and German is a must.
- Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate business degree; a Master’s degree from a top-tier school is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated success with cold calling and outbound prospecting—confident in initiating conversations with founders and C-level executives.
- 4+ years of experience in a business development, lead generation, or outbound sales role, ideally in a B2B or M&A environment.
- Ability to manage a pipeline of leads and consistently exceed outreach and engagement targets.
- Confident in presenting to business owners and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment.
- Experience in M&A, software, or fintech is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Professional demeanor, excellent time management, and a persistent, independent work ethic.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across remote teams and cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
