We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Airfreight Specialist to join our team for an exciting opportunity in Bertling Germany, Düsseldorf.
Aufgaben
- Project planning and execution of heavy weight & size airfreights ex Europe
- Planning and executing Charters and Part Charters
- Shipment coordination and processing for European air freight export & import
- Shipment tracking and order review
- Rate negotiations and placing orders with airlines for direct services
- Preparation of freight documents as well as freight invoices and outgoing invoices
- Preparation, monitoring, and checking of customs documents
- Monitoring compliance with dangerous goods regulations
- Monitoring of transport processes and loading of cargo (sometimes also on site)
- Creation of air freight offers
- Checking incoming invoices
- Comprehensive cost control for every transport
- Customer support, mainly in English
- Controlling, monitoring, and reporting on current project status
Fähigkeiten
- Completed studies in forwarding and logistics services
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the air freight forwarding sector
- Professional experience in a comparable position in an international environment
- Experience in export/import/cross trades, air freight, sea freight and land transport
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Cost-conscious behavior and reliability
