• Overview of the role:
• As a member of a small but growing German Finance team, you will be responsible for all accounting, closing and consolidation processes for two legal entities. In this key role you will collaborate with the operations and finance teams in Germany and the UK headquarters. You will define and improve processes in a modern and IT-driven environment. You will help to grow and define the business and how we operate.
• Key Responsibilities
• · Posting of AR/ AP, general ledger, fixed asset, bank and Intercompany transactions
• · Responsible for multiple legal entities (min 2)
• · Preparation of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• · Reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger accounts
• · Support in preparing tax returns and liaising with external tax advisors (VAT, CIT, TT)
• · Optimization of accounting and payroll processes and systems
• · Point of contact for (external) auditors and internal departments
• · Support, maintenance and further development of our ERP system: Oracle Netsuite
• · Supporting the requests of German authorities (Z4, Statistics, etc.)
• · Supporting Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow

• Your Profile
• · Qualification as a Certified Accountant or equivalent is mandatory, like:
• · Bilanzbuchhalter:in (IHK), Buchhalter:in, Steuerfachangestelle:r, Steuerfachwirt:in, and/ or
• · B.Sc. (Economics) and Business Administration
• · Minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting required
• · Experience in an industrial or energy company is preferred
• · Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) is a must
• · Basic knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a must
• · Proficient in the ERP Oracle NetSuite, experience with DATEV is a plus
• · Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and MS Office is mandatory
• · User experience of a (Power) BI solution is a plus
• · Experience with the use and deployment of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is a plus
• · Independent, analytical and structured working style
• · Ability to adapt to changing finance and business processes environments is mandatory
• · Strong communication, teamwork and presentation skills
• · Language skills: Fluent in German (C1 or higher); good English skills (B2 or higher) required
• · A valid work and residence permit for Germany is a must have
