Aufgaben

  • Your contribution:
  • The Vehicle Testing Lead is responsible for leading strategic important cross-department projects for exploring and testing low voltage electrical systems in vehicles (possibly with disciplinary leadership of certain teams) with a high degree of autonomy, significant contribution to further development of the department and organization. In this role you are the recognized technical expert and interface to external and internal customers as well as to suppliers to plan, execute, document, publish & present status & results. The role includes the development of new capabilities, processes, innovative concepts and training of company internal employees.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading engineering projects incl. team lead for vehicle power net testing & vehicle diagnostic
  • Plan, execute, document, publish & present status & results to internal & external customers
  • Use tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and data loggers to collect and analyze system data
  • Technical market analysis; market developments of new vehicle models, e.g. hybrid- vehicles
  • Development of knowledgebase about new and future vehicle electrical architectures
  • Development of test procedures: organization, conduction and execution of vehicle benchmarking
  • Adaptation and simulation of vehicle power net systems for the laboratory e.g. battery power & life test.
  • Knowledge development & acquisition of new test equipment relevant for power net testing
  • Development and execution of training for internal teams

Fähigkeiten

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Tasks require knowledge/skills typically gained through:
  • a four-year university program (Master’s, Magister, or university-level Diplom) and multiple years of professional experience,
  • or a three-year vocational qualification plus advanced professional development (state-certified technician or state-certified business administrator) and professional experience that demands deep specialized or cross-functional expertise.
  • Good project management skills
  • Familiar with competitor benchmarking
  • Hands-on skills to do instrumentation on vehicles
  • Strong data analytics, documentation & communication skills
  • OE automotive/tier 1 experience with powertrain systems/components
  • OE test specifications experience and customer interface experience
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostic tools, communication tools & protocols like CAN, LIN, Vector
  • Experience with machine learning, big data handling, cloud data processing
  • Fluent English and upper intermediate German language skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the working time
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with batteries and related algorithms like SoC/SoH/SoF
  • Exposure to battery management systems (BMS) in vehicles.
  • Basic scripting or programming skills in MATLAB, Python, Excel, Famos for data processing and reporting
