Meet the team behind this journey
We are a growing international and passionate accounting team of accounts payable, general ledger accounts and IFRS specialists, driving for a timely and smooth closing process and preparing accurate financial statements
Aufgaben
- Preparation and ownership of IFRS Group financial statements
- Preparation and ownership of subsidiary financial statements under local GAAP
- Leading and coordinating the group and subsidiary external audit processes
- Close collaboration with the Director of Accounting and various subsidiaries to ensure accurate and consistent IFRS application across the Group.
- Preparation and ownership of HGB accounting standard financial statements
- Responsibility for monitoring new regulatory requirements and assessing emerging accounting topics.
- Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements, including the provision of disclosures and supporting accounting memos for year-end reporting.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all IFRS-related inquiries from finance team members, management, and external auditors.
- Ensuring adherence to and the continued development of group-wide IFRS standards and guidelines during daily operations.
- Acting as the main liaison for our subsidiaries and external advisors regarding all IFRS accounting matters.
- Providing support for various special projects (e.g., implementation of new regulatory requirements, evaluation of new accounting topics).
Fähigkeiten
- A minimum of five years of professional experience within an IFRS department at a substantial audit or accounting firm or as an IFRS expert; a profound understanding of IFRS standards is mandatory.
- Deep expertise in HGB (German Commercial Code) accounting standards and financial statement preparation
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP requirements for subsidiary financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven experience leading external audit processes at group level, managing relationships with audit firms is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead subsidiary audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion
- Successful completion of a business degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Robust analytical capabilities, enabling lateral thinking to devise innovative solutions for complex accounting challenges and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Proficiency in the utilisation of consolidation systems, preferably Workday.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under significant pressure to meet all stipulated deadlines.
- Deep expertise in HGB (German Commercial Code) accounting standards and financial statement preparation is advantageous.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in German is advantageous.
