CEO / Scientific Managing Director (m/f/d)

DNTOX GmbH, founded in 2022 as a spin-off from the IUF – Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine, is driving the future of animal test-free chemical testing. We specialize in in vitro methods to detect (developmental) neurotoxicity and collaborate with authorities like EFSA to contribute to the scientific and regulatory validation of innovative test methods. At DNTOX, we combine cutting-edge science with ethical responsibility to shape the next generation of toxicology.

We are looking for:

CEO / Scientific Managing Director (m/f/d)
Düsseldorf – Full-time

• Shape and lead DNTOX’s corporate strategy
• Provide leadership at executive level and integrate science with business
• Lead and develop our interdisciplinary scientific and technical team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GLP)
• Develop and maintain strategic initiatives, partnerships, and collaborations
• Support licensing, and financing activities

• PhD in life sciences, medicine, or a related field
• Several years of experience in leadership, ideally in industrial research or a start-up environment
• Knowledge in new approach methodologies with focus on toxicology is a plus
• Strategic thinker, visionary, and decisive leader
• Excellent communicator, team player, and collaborator
• Fluent in German and English (C1 level or higher)
