We are seeking an internship student to join our Minerals Digital APC team for 6 months.
You will join a team of digital solution specialists in the Metals Refining Products & Customers department dedicated to the implementation of Advanced Process Control (APC) solution for our process technologies. We are currently working on algorithms to enhance the monitoring of gas cleaning and sulfuric acid process technology.
We work closely together with internal stakeholders, such as colleagues in the APC team, as well as gas cleaning and sulfuric acid process experts. Our team culture is all about team spirit and collaboration to reach our common goal of improving our process technologies with digital solutions. The members in our team are located in Sweden, Finland, and Germany.

Aufgaben
- You will be responsible for supporting the development of digital solutions, which involves concept development, implementation, and testing of algorithms for our digital products. Your role plays a crucial part in the development of digital solutions, which will contribute to the performance of our process plants and process equipment. In this position, you will report to Steffen Haus, Director MCP technologies.
- This position is mainly located in Oberursel.

- What you'll do
- Work on algorithms for anomaly detection for process data
- Test and compare the algorithms
- Participate in preparing technical roll-out of prototype implementations
- Use python as well as our own programming environment for digital solutions
- Interpret the results and discuss ideas and concepts with the international digitalization team
Fähigkeiten
- A student close to the Master Thesis in process engineering, or similar
- You have particular interest in data and data analysis
- You have experience in programming (Matlab, Python, or similar)
- You have a good understanding of process data in general, and create algorithms using process data
- You are able to convert a concept into an algorithm, and you can interpret the results of e.g., different algorithm configuration parameters
