Aufgaben
- We have an opportunity for an Employee Relations Consultant , where you will play a key role in supporting employees and managers, resolving complex issues, and ensuring our policies meet local legal standards. You will be part of a team of five responsible for employee relations matters, liaising with HR Business Partners, employee representatives, and management to foster a respectful and productive work environment.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the German policies and regulations, but will also be responsible for providing support across Europe. In this role, you will help foster a respectful and productive work environment by ensuring legal compliance, supporting the adoption and localisation of corporate HR policies, managing employee relations cases, working with employee representative bodies (such as unions and works councils), planning and supporting country restructuring, and participating in audits.
- Advise on and implement HR policies incl. health and safety (H&S) regulations that meet local legal requirements and company standards.
- Manage employee relations cases, including grievances, disputes, and investigations.
- Act as a main contact for employee representative bodies (unions, works councils, employee representatives).
- Support and guide restructuring and change management processes.
- Identify and address compliance risks in HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and company policies, including health and safety (H&S).
- Work with internal and external legal advisors and data privacy officers.
- Deliver training to managers and employees on conflict resolution, workplace ethics, and compliance.
- Analyse employee relations trends and prepare reports for management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of cases and actions.
- Support audits and HR compliance reviews.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Build trust and credibility with staff and leadership.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and ethical behaviour.
Fähigkeiten
- Sound knowledge of German and European employment law and HR practices.
- Experience handling employee relations cases and working with employee representative bodies.
- Skilled in conducting fair and confidential investigations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting organisational change and building employee trust.
- Proficient in English; proficiency in local language(s) is an advantage.
- High integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
