The Position

Acting globally. Working cross functionally. Making strategic decisions that ensure sustainable, competitive supply and product quality. As Category Manager for secondary Pharmaceutical Packaging at Boehringer Ingelheim you’ll be on an exciting mission.

This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2-3 days per week on site.

This position is part time eligible with 80%.

Aufgaben

  • As Category Manager for Pharmaceutical Packaging: Paper, Inserts, Label, you further develop the existing Category Strategy focusing on bringing innovation to our pipeline products, on building competition and implementing cost saving initiatives.
  • For this you´ll build effective internal business partner relationships for both business units OneHP and Animal Health, including guidance and steering of business partners effectively in Sourcing processes.
  • Utilizing Supplier Management and with your external knowledge of markets you bring innovation to Boehringer Ingelheim and partner with our Innovation Unit to support product pipeline needs.
  • You'll actively manage our business partners to align common goals and strategy implementation in line with our Priorities on the pathway to 2035.

Fähigkeiten

  • Master’s degree or Diploma in pharmaceutical, chemical or business administration with additional several years of relevant experience
  • Several years of experience in Category Management or internationally action sourcing organizations
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision making at business partners
  • Proven ability to develop and align a Category Strategy – as well as its implementation within Sourcing and with business partners
  • Capability to professionally manage business partners as well as suppliers on conceptual level, e.g. managing project portfolio for next few years
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze suppliers’ financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
