Aufgaben
- Support the BAMF local office at the lodging phase of the asylum application
- Register applicants for international protection and lodge asylum applications in conformity with legal provisions, internal procedures and working instructions
- Create, process and close asylum case files within the German asylum case management system
- Maintain, manage and update asylum application records using BAMF internal tools and databases
- Conduct identification procedures, clarify identity and origin, and verify documents of applicants during asylum processing
- Liaise and interact with asylum seekers, authorities, courts and the Federal Police, in person and in writing, in the context of asylum applications processing
- Provide support with BAMF general office duties such as document scanning and indexing, mail processing, correspondence, appointment scheduling, and general data entry
- Support the development and implementation of internal procedures, instructions, and documents
- Perform any other duties required in the interest of the service
Fähigkeiten
- Post-secondary education (completed studies or apprenticeship) or secondary education with a diploma
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial environment
- Previous experience within an institutional and intercultural environment is an asset
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
- Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2)
- Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel), internet use, and web-based applications
- Very strong intercultural & interdisciplinary communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
