Aufgaben
- Elaborating and achieving the objectives of the Plan and wider profitability of the Cedent Facultative transactions in your regional line of business
- Develop SCOR's market share and leadership position across Cedent Facultative Reinsurance
- Be part of a dynamic cross-border team (Paris, Cologne, Madrid, London), delivering profitable growth and diversifying the portfolio in accordance with strategy and Facultative Guidelines
- Receive, select and evaluate offers of business from various sources, calculate pricing, and negotiate conditions of the contracts
- Identify, research, develop and report on new areas of profitable growth
- Market and cross-sell capabilities of other units across the Group (Treaties, Alternative Solutions, Specialty Lines, Insurance) to Managers, Brokers and Ceding Companies
- Develop marketing materials and intelligence documentation based on research and analysis of portfolio results and market data
- Provide technical expertise, best practices and mentoring to underwriters in the region to assist in sourcing new business opportunities
- Collaborate with peers across regions to share market intelligence and ensure consistent underwriting methodology worldwide
- Assist other business lines in local market interactions to support cross‑LOB growth
- Collaborate with the Claims Function in negotiating/resolving claims arising from your portfolio
- Ensure data quality and reporting to all IT systems
Fähigkeiten
- Strong underwriting experience across the (re)insurance market
- High technical acumen of reinsurance and insurance Casualty wordings
- Thorough understanding of pricing models (proportional, non-proportional)
- Ability to travel
- Cycle Management: manage underwriting decisions and relationships around the market's cyclical nature; underwriting strategy, capacity management, portfolio management and long-term partnerships
- Commercial Business Acumen: negotiate profitable business structures for both client and SCOR
- Critical Thinking: assess complex risks, analyze market trends, make data-driven underwriting decisions
- Negotiation & Persuasion: lead negotiations involving complex policies, resolve conflicts and advocate for clients
