Jobdescription:We are seeking a team member to join our Development & Production Team and support the metal workshop. The team consists of 10 employees specializing in design and industrial mechanics, metal fabrication, and experts in suspension systems, surface treatments, installation, prototyping, and electronics. The tasks involved in art production are highly complex and require extensive knowledge and skills.About Studio Olafur Eliasson: The studio team consists of specialized technicians, architects, artists, art historians, cooks, and administrators. We work with Eliasson to experiment, develop, and install artworks, projects, and exhibitions as well as to communicate and contextualize his work. • All aspects of metalworking and the production of small- to large-scale components, particularly stainless steel, as well as metal structures, including welding, machining, and surface treatment
• Assembly and installation of metal structures and art installations made from various materials
• Construction of complex geometries, custom-made products, prototyping, and mechanical components

• Vocational training or several years of experience in a metalworking trade
• Experience in working with stainless steel and other metals, particularly TIG welding, drilling, sawing, cutting, grinding, soldering, and surface treatment, is required
• Experience in the assembly and installation of artworks
• Expertise in metals, their processing, and coatings
• Proficiency in machining processes on lathes, milling machines, and bending machines is a plus
• Rope and suspension techniques; training as an industrial climber is a plus
• Understanding of mechanical parts and electronics is a plus
• Focused, meticulous, precise, and self-reliant work ethic
• Teamwork is essential
• Understanding of and interest in contemporary art
• Good German and English skills
• Nice to have:
