Aufgaben
- The Role
- As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be an integral part of the German Sales Specialists team, working alongside with multiomics, clinical, and bioinformatics sales specialists, embedded in the German Commercial Organization. You will play a pivotal role in advancing genomic applications across divers sectors, including research, clinical, applied genomics, and service providers. You will partner closely with our commercial team to deliver innovative solutions in areas such as transcriptomics, oncology, genetic disease testing, microbiology, and agrigenomics. This is a customer-facing role where your scientific expertise and consultative approach will help shape the future of genomic science.
- Key Responsibilities Include
- Commercial Responsibility
- Owning the Library Prep quota, being on top of sales funnel, and focusing on achieving sales targets
- Technical Expertise
- Deliver in-depth technical consultations on NGS applications, assay design, and data interpretation.
- Support customers in implementing workflows and solutions effectively.
- Training and Education
- Conduct training sessions for customers and colleagues on NGS applications and library preparation workflows.
- Empower others with the knowledge to harness the power of genomics.
- Collaboration and Account Management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, service & support, and marketing.
- Ensure seamless communication and comprehensive account management throughout the sales cycle.
- Market Insight and Sales Objectives
- Stay ahead of market trends and identify new opportunities for Illumina technologies.
- Leverage technical expertise to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, turning them into long-term partners.
- Represent Illumina with professionalism and integrity at all times.

- Experience/Education:
- Typically requires extensive related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or considerable related experience and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with some related experience; or equivalent experience.
