The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises seven non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research institutes belong to the Leibniz Association.
WIAS invites applications for a
Project Coordinator (f/m/d)

for the Mathematical Research Data Initiative (MaRDI)
starting October 1, 2025 .
Aufgaben
- You will be the central point of contact for MaRDI and will take care of the general administration and co-ordination of the project.
- The main tasks of the job include:
- The planning and coordination of steering group and strategy meetings: this includes supporting the MaRDI spokesperson and the governance team in the development of the consortium and the execution of decisions.
- Overall project management of the six Task Areas
- Representation of MaRDI in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) meetings
- Other administrative tasks such as onboarding of new partners and participant.
- Manage the communication and flow of information, within MaRDI and the NFDI
Fähigkeiten
- You have managed a project or projects with multiple partners within the academic system
- You take initiative in proposing contents along the tasks list to the MaRDI Board.
- You have good communication skills: written and verbal and are well organised.
- You are comfortable building networks with representatives across research disciplines.
- Profound knowledge of the german academic system.
