Junior Data Scientist

We are seeking a curious and motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to building production-ready applications. Our Data Science team develops practical machine learning applications to enable innovative and customer-facing product features.

• About the opportunity
• In this role, you will:
• Support the team across the entire project lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering to applying machine learning techniques and supporting applications.
• Contribute to innovative solutions in financial crime prevention and credit risk assessment.
• Collaborate closely with experienced data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product managers, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skill set.
• Have the opportunity to learn and experiment with new tech stacks and project ideas.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or nearing completion) with a focus on quantitative disciplines including mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
• Strong foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with a variety of modeling techniques, including:
• Classification models: (e.g., CatBoost, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Regression models: (e.g., CatBoost, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Time Series Analysis: (e.g., ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet)
• Unsupervised Models: (e.g., clustering, anomaly detection such as Isolation Forest)
• Good programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of common machine learning algorithms and a strong desire to learn and apply new techniques.
• You are creative, organised, and self-motivated with a passion for solving problems with data.
• Language skills: English (full professional proficiency).
