Working Student - Production & Project Management (m/f/d)

Quantum Systems specialises in the development, design, and production of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The company’s range of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sUAS are built to maximize range and versatility and to provide operators with a seamless user experience. By integrating cutting-edge software capabilities, like edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing, Quantum Systems is building next-generation UAS for clients in defence, security, public sectors.

• As a Working Student (m/f/d) in Production & Project Management, you will actively support our production management and team in further developing our manufacturing processes. You will work on exciting topics related to efficiency improvement, layout optimization, process enhancement and Lean principles, making a direct contribution to advancing our production and driving our projects forward in a measurable way. With your commitment, you will help shape the future of our manufacturing environment in a meaningful and sustainable way.
• Analyze and continuously optimize existing production processes based on Lean principles.
• Actively support the identification, evaluation, and implementation of efficiency improvement measures.
• Assist in the design, development, and optimization of production layouts.
• Conduct time studies and perform analyses of material flow, lead times, and capacities.
• Create, maintain, and continuously improve process documentation, work instructions, and visualizations.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and decision-making documents for management.
• Support the operational day-to-day business and collaborate closely with production management and other departments.

• Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical or techno-economic degree program.
• Strong interest in Lean Management, production environments, project management, and process optimization.
• Strong analytical skills, technical understanding, and a structured, reliable, and independent working style.
• Confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint); experience with visualization or project management tools is an advantage.
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a high level of initiative.
• Hands-on mindset with enthusiasm for challenging the status quo and actively improving processes.
• Confident handling of manufacturing documents, technical drawings, and BOMs.
• High quality awareness and willingness to learn and apply new manufacturing and project management methods.
