Quantum Systems specialises in the development, design, and production of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The company’s range of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sUAS are built to maximize range and versatility and to provide operators with a seamless user experience. By integrating cutting-edge software capabilities, like edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing, Quantum Systems is building next-generation UAS for clients in defence, security, public sectors.

Aufgaben

  • As Director of Finance, you are a key member of our Finance team and responsible for international correspondence with subsidiaries, the supervision and management of all aspects of the Group’s financial accounting and reporting, and the optimization of financial processes. Together with our world-class team—currently 7 team members—you will play a central role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology.
  • You work closely with all stakeholders to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making through accurate and timely financial information. With these smooth financial processes, you support Quantum Systems in its mission to become the benchmark for aerial data-capture solutions using unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).
  • Financial planning: Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning. Jointly develop financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Investor relations: Support reporting to existing investors as well as coordinating and supporting financing rounds with potential new investors—from the due diligence process and communications through to document management.
  • C-level communication: Effectively communicate financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Prepare the necessary analyses and information for strategic decision-making.
  • Project management: Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and improve efficiency. Initiate, lead, and monitor independent projects. Continuously optimize the Group-wide ERP system as a single source of data.
  • Cost reduction: Identify cost-reduction levers to improve liquidity and independently drive these initiatives. Create opportunity and risk profiles to support decision-making at C-level.
  • Liquidity management: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure and optimize liquidity for operations. Monitor compliance with controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team leadership: Lead, develop, and coach a team of finance professionals across accounting, treasury, controlling, and other functions. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function across all subsidiaries.
  • Auditing: Main point of contact for internal and external audits. Responsible for coordinating audit activities, providing required documentation and explanations, and addressing audit findings on time.
  • Tax compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payments. Work closely with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiency.

Fähigkeiten

  • A university degree in business administration, finance, or a similar field; an MBA or CPA is an advantage.
  • Experience in an international/global environment and familiarity with IFRS, ideally in a publicly listed company.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally in the aerospace or technology sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven success in leading and developing finance teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders in English and German.
  • A strong understanding of business contexts and the ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
