Senior Investment Strategist - Equity (m/f/d)

Allianz Group Investment Strategy is responsible for designing and implementing the investment strategy for insurance portfolios worldwide and jointly with Allianz's local managers. We work closely with colleagues within the global network of Allianz Investment Management and our internal and external asset managers in developing our group investment strategy and tailoring it to specific needs of portfolios. The function is led by the Allianz’ s Group Chief Investment Officer.

The Senior Investment Strategist leads our research and strategy development for traded equities, driving sustainable performance and value creation for Allianz, clients, and stakeholders. This role shapes equity positioning through comprehensive market analysis and develops strategies aligned with Allianz’s macrooutlook. It involves active engagement with portfolio managers, quantitative research on asset and cross-asset levels, and delivering actionable recommendations to investment committees, internal stakeholders, and external publications.

• Reveal trends, risks, and opportunities by conducting comprehensive equity market analysis, incl. regions, styles, industries and occasionally individual stocks by employing advanced analysis and information sources.
• Improve portfolio performance by developing equity investment strategies, leveraging the network of brokers and asset managers.
• Active engagement with equity portfolio managers mandated by Allianz to guide equity positioning. Perform research on asset and cross-asset basis and underpinned by quantitative analysis and aligned with Allianz macro-outlook.
• Deliver actionable investment recommendations for investment committees, internal stakeholders and external publication.

• 8+ years investment experience with equity markets
• Strong analytical skills and toolkit, incl. the utilization of AI/ML and market information sources
• Ability to work independently yet also collaborate effectively with different teams and partners to achieve common goals
• Fast learner, combining advanced analytical skills supported by curiosity and a critical mind
