Die Hochschule für nachhaltige Entwicklung Eberswalde (HNEE) ist mit ihrer ganzheitlichen nachhaltigen Ausrichtung, ihrem einzigartigen und an zukunftsrelevanten Themen ausgerichteten Studienangebot und als starke Institution im Bereich der Nachhaltigkeitsforschung Impulsgeberin für nachhaltige Entwicklung. Rund 2.300 Studierende aus etwa 60 Nationen studieren und mehr als 400 Beschäftigte lehren, forschen und arbeiten an der modernen Campushochschule. Die Transformation hin zu einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft durch die Entwicklung tragfähiger Modelllösungen voranzutreiben und die Studierenden mit Gestaltungskompetenz auszustatten, das ist die Mission der HNEE.

Die HNEE bewirbt sich derzeit auf die Ausschreibung der DFG mit einem Vorhaben, was einen integrativen, interdisziplinären und transdisziplinären Forschungsansatz verfolgt. Dieser soll natur-, sozial- und wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Expertisen verbinden, um zu erproben, wie das Konzept der Planetary Health Diet (PHD) konkret in Brandenburg im Zukunftsszenario operationalisiert werden kann und welche Auswirkungen dies auf die Landschaftsebene hat. Des Weiteren soll der Beitrag der Landschaft über die Lebensmittelproduktion hinaus zur Bereitstellung von Ökosystemleistungen bewertet werden. Daraus ergibt sich die Betrachtung der Planetary Health Landscape (PHL).

Zur Unterstützung der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit bieten wir eine Promotionsstelle an.

Arbeitstitel: Quantitative Simulation von Flächenverteilungen, Nährstoffflüssen, Erträgen und Ressourceneffizienz in Planetary Health Landscape-kompatiblen Anbausystemen in Berlin-Brandenburg.

Beim Umsetzen des Planetary Health-Konzeptes auf Landschaftsebene ist mit wesentlichen Veränderungen der landwirtschaftlichen Flächennutzung zu rechnen, beispielsweise durch eine Priorisierung des Anbaus menschlicher Lebensmittel vor Futtermitteln vor energetischer/stofflicher Nutzung. Ausgehend von der aktuellen Flächennutzung sollen Szenarien anhand der Beispielregion Berlin-Brandenburg entwickelt und quantitativ modelliert werden. Neben der Flächennutzung sollen hierbei veränderte Nährstoffflüsse und Erträge betrachtet werden, die sich auf die Ressourceneffizienz der Systeme auswirken.

Das Thema wird von einer Professorin / einem Professor betreut, die / der Mitglied des DFG-Antragskonsortiums und Mitglied im neu zu gründenden Promotionskollegs der brandenburgischen Hochschulen für angewandte Wissenschaften sein wird.

The HNEE is currently applying for the DFG call for proposals with a project that adopts an integrative, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research approach. This aims to combine expertise from the natural, social and economic sciences to explore how the concept of the Planetary Health Diet (PHD) can be operationalised in practice in Brandenburg within a future scenario, and what implications this has at the landscape level. Furthermore, the contribution of the landscape to the provision of ecosystem services beyond food production is to be assessed. This leads to the consideration of the Planetary Health Landscape (PHL).

To support this research, we are offering a PhD position .

Working title: Quantitative simulation of land use distribution, nutrient flows, yields and resource efficiency in Planetary Health Landscape-compatible cropping systems in Berlin-Brandenburg.

Implementing the Planetary Health concept at the landscape level is expected to result in significant changes to agricultural land use, for example by prioritising the cultivation of food for human consumption over animal feed and over energy or material use. Based on current land use, scenarios are to be developed and quantitatively modelled using the Berlin-Brandenburg region as a case study. In addition to land use, the study will examine changes in nutrient flows and yields that affect the resource efficiency of the systems.

The topic will be supervised by a professor who is a member of the DFG grant consortium and a member of the doctoral college to be established at the Brandenburg universities of applied sciences.

• Sie haben sehr gute Kenntnisse und ausgewiesene fachliche Expertise zum Themengebiet, nachgewiesen insbesondere durch die Ausrichtung der Studienabschlüsse, inhaltliche Schwerpunkte im Studium, Abschlussarbeiten oder sonstigen Qualifikationen
• Sie verfügen über sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache in Wort und Schrift (vergl. Niveau C1 nach dem GER) und über gute bis sehr gute Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache in Wort und Schrift (vergl. Niveau B2 nach dem GER)
