Field Diagnostic Technician– Powertrain Systems (m/f/d)

Responsible for field issues related to powertrain components

Aufgaben

  • Monitoring and analysis of warranty and quality information data for ICE & (P)HEV systems to address field quality issues early
  • Initiate and conduct hands‑on field investigations as well as vehicle, system, and component investigations (measurement, disassembly, inspection) to support root cause analysis activities for ICE & (P)HEV‑related quality issues
  • Collaborate with R&D, factories and suppliers to provide practical technical feedback and support during the countermeasure development & validation processes
  • Preparation of technical reports & summaries based on diagnostic findings & investigation results
  • Detection and benchmarking of competitor trends and new powertrain technology

Fähigkeiten

  • Successful completion of a state certified technician degree with a focus on electrical / automotive technology or master technician degree with relevant work experience
  • 5 years + of hands‑on diagnostic and repair experience with ICE and/or (P)HEV powertrains from a dealership or workshop environment
  • Experience in a similar role with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier is advantageous
  • Strong practical knowledge of repair methods, fault isolation, and troubleshooting for ICE and (P)HEV powertrains, as well as related 12V systems, is required
  • Diagnostic experience with automated transmission systems is preferred
  • Exposure to automotive measurement tools (ETAS INCA, Vector CANape) for diagnostic or test support purposes is beneficial
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, time management & analytical thinking skills with a drive to deliver results
  • Self-motivated and flexible, with a strong interest in working within an international team
  • Fluency in English language (written & spoken) is required
  • Willingness for regular business travel within Germany & Europe
  • Valid class B European driving license
