Aufgaben
- Design and perform experiments using mouse models of orthotopic colorectal cancer, including gnotobiotic mice
- Work with primary human and murine intestinal organoids in 2D and 3D co-cultures to study host–microbial interactions
- Perform and analyse scRNA/snRNA and spatial RNA sequencing
- Conduct metagenomic sequencing and metabolomic studies to characterise microbiota and metabolites
- Dissect microbiota-dependent pathways that regulate CRC progression, metastasis and age-dependent effects
- Identify druggable host–microbial interactions that promote CRC progression
- Collaborate in a cross-disciplinary research consortium and contribute to publications and presentations
Fähigkeiten
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Science or related biological sciences
- Ideally: experience working with mice (in vivo models)
- Experience or basic skills in microbiology and cell culture techniques (organoids)
- Familiarity or willingness to work with sequencing and omics approaches (scRNA/snRNA, spatial RNA-seq, metagenomics, metabolomics) is advantageous
- Open-minded, active, team player
- Good command of English (oral and written)
