Research & Origination Associate (m/f/d)

• Lead detailed research on emerging technologies and industry trends in the energy transition.
• Deep dive understanding of the technologies and relative strengths of individual companies.
• Proactively scout for potential investment opportunities and maintain a pipeline of prospects.
• Support the Investment Team and Senior Advisors in due diligence activities by analyzing business models and reviewing technical aspects.
• Prepare screening and investment memos, presentations, and pitch decks.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders in academia, industry, and investment.
• Drive improvements to origination processes and sourcing methods.

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience - we are flexible with respect to experience level and can accommodate outstanding candidates.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical and/or Energy Engineering, or related field) or Natural Sciences (Physics, or related field).
• Strong understanding of the energy transition and sustainable energy technologies.
• Strong analytical and research skills with both qualitative and quantitative focus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English and German.
• Work authorization in Germany; willingness to be based in Munich.
