Our Data & Analytics team is part of Procurement at Daimler Trucks & Buses and plays a key role in driving the department’s digital transformation. We design and build scalable data products, from dashboards and automation solutions to advanced machine learning models, always with the goal of enabling data-driven decisions and increasing process efficiency. Beyond development, we work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, position our solutions effectively, and actively promote data literacy by teaching and supporting users across Procurement.

As an intern, you will work at the intersection of analytics, business, and strategy. You will collaborate closely with experienced data scientists and procurement experts, support both operational tasks (e.g., developing and improving data products) and strategic questions (e.g., how to position our tools, how to increase adoption, and how to maximize their impact in the context of large, company-wide initiatives). Whether your interests lie in machine learning, statistical analysis, data visualization, or strategic thinking around analytics products, this internship offers a unique opportunity to learn, contribute, and shape the future of data-driven procurement.

• Learn how a modern data platform works by helping build and develop the Databricks environment for Procurement
• Learn how to create impactful dashboards by redesigning and improving Power BI reports used in real business decisions
• Learn through hands-on analytics work using Python for day-to-day analysis and by supporting ongoing data and machine learning projects
• Learn how global data teams collaborate by working with data colleagues across different locations in an international environment

• You study mathematics, Physics, Data Science, informatics, Economics, Engineering or comparable studies
• Programming skills: R, Python or DAX is a plus
• Strong Interest in Data & Analytics
• Knowledge of MS-Office tools, in particular, MS Excel
• Language skills: English fluent, German basics preferable
• Commitment, teamwork and analytical thinking
